Best consulting exits for work life balance in SEA?
PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

I've lived in many cities from sf down to San Jose in the last 6 yrs here are my 2 cents.
Millbrae is safe and nice, lots of asian things
Burlingame is upscale
San Mateo is the biggest city, safe except shoreview and East San Mateo neighborhoods
Foster city is safe but boring imo
Belmont and San Carlos are sleepy boring towns but super desirable for families (excellent schools) and good access to nature
Redwood city has a nice downtown but has some weird spots, more of a commercial feel but popular with tech workers as it's the closest affordable spot to Facebook
Any further south and I think commuting to the city of ssf would suck
Keep Caltrain tracks in mind as they can be noisy. Generally stay away from east of the 101 unless you're in foster city. As you go towards 280 the area is usually nicer.
Wonderful. Thank you!
Sunnyvale is a bit of a commute for SSF (40 min with no traffic) but most of the communities down the Peninsula are fine, EY1 is spot on with their descriptions. I commute to SSF from Millbrae, which is super convenient.
If you like cooler weather and a small town beach vibe, I love Pacifica. I grew up in LA so I was all about big city, but I have been here 23 years and love it.
