Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? How long should I wait to hear interview result? I have had over five rounds at a firm including rounds with senior management. The interviews went well. After following with hr, they say they are waiting for feedback on other candidates. Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

When you’re looking to make an internal transfer, what forms of of networking work best?

Coming out of UG, I accepted my first job b/c I thought I had to based on status of other interviews. I ended up quitting after 8 weeks in favor of an opportunity I perceived to be better, but took longer to get. 7 months into the new gig, I am NOT happy. I’m asking to get my notice period waived. I have a 30 day notice period per the employment agreement I signed, but it says they can waive it at any time after I gave notice. Im not going to a competitor or even the same industry. How likely is for my current firm to allow this?
