I was for a couple months between jobs. But technically you’re a solo practitioner for insurance/bar-related reasons. I got professional liability insurance with one million in coverage. I think it was $900 for the year. I canceled it when I got a new job and got a prorated refund.

Probably not because it would be a misclassification risk factor.

As a Checo fan I’m kinda biased but I feel like the last two races showed that he is acclimating to the car development and continues to prove himself as the ideal no.2 driver for Red Bull.

I know there were a lot of folks saying that he was gonna be a liability for Red Bull but I think he’ll continue to be a huge asset even if he isn’t matching Max’s pace

Is there a polite/gentle way to talk to your boyfriend about the fact that he has gained a lot of weight in the past year and needs more physical activity in his life?

I am not a very shallow person — he was already on the heavier side when we met. But when I look at photos from just a year ago, it’s clear he’s put on a lot of weight. I am worried about his health. I don’t want to overstep or make him feel insecure. Just wondering if anyone else has ever been here.

Negotiating a settlement. I’m at $10k, opposing counsel is at $20k. My client won’t go higher than $15k. OC has come down to 17.5k and says his client won’t budge from that. Do I offer 12.5k so we can hopefully meet in the middle at 15k? Is that how the settlement game is played? Seems dumb we can’t just say let’s meet in the middle now and be done with this. (I’m a first year, first time negotiating a settlement on my own and I don’t want to screw this up!)

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.
