It’s marginally beneficial if you want to work at a fund of funds shop, but that’s about it. Go for the CFA.

like

No caia is seen as complementary. I believe having the cfa grants you caia level 1 automatically...if youre trying to get onto an investment team at a fund shop then cfa > caia without question

The what?

like

Definitely start with cfa

Big fund shops see it as a step below CFA, but still highly regarded

Would both the CFA and CAIA be overkill?

What about for somebody looking to go PE -> L / S or activist? (I actually have a consulting background and didn’t live the day-to-day grind of banking for 2 years).

Does the CAIA hold much value if already doing the CFA?

Hi everyone

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!

Currently have the FRM title.
I failed CFA level 3 once.

I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.

While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.

Any suggestions as to what I should start with?

Hi Hexaware,
This question is for my brother.
He joined h3xaware as fresher this year and has unknowingly declared medical insurance for parent. As I am already having another medical coverage for them. Is there a way to opt out of the insurance from portal.
It caused a deduction of 2k from his salary and is not required.

Any information on this or process will be really appreciated

Anyone here been scared of heart disease before?

When I was still in big law two years ago, I woke up one night with chest pain and a pounding heart.

Ambulance, hospital, all kinds of checks imaginable. Nothing found, apart from moderately high blood pressure caused by the situation. Final dx was a panic attack.

Recently, I’ve been getting similar symptoms occasionally, but doc reassures me. I’m a slender and fit guy who can run 10k in 50 min with no pain or discomfort, but you get scared..
