I lateraled into a niche practice group in Sept 2021. I also have a 1 year old and have been mostly remote since I started - but have been keeping busy tracking towards 2400-2500 hours. That said getting to know people only remote has been kind of awkward at times (email only can be tough to decipher) although as a working mom the pros vastly outweigh the cons. I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. What should I do in a scenario where I was hired (12+ years) with far less salary than(~20% less) than other members (4+ experience) in team and asked to take 80% of team's responsibilities. Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account.
