I cannot wait honestly, will try to rotate into EYP legacy, exhausted from doing PMO disguised as transaction strategy
Where are you currently?
Where do you apply for such rotations??
Well in my opinion, I just think its about growth and diversifying your skill set. I personally feel that I work in a very niche group (that no one knows about). I think rotating provides the opportunity to expand.
I also think that staying in a specific service limits future growth due to being tied to only one specific area.
Being able to think in different view points...at least to me adds more value to clients and makes us more valuable as professionals. Thus, rotating to another group to me seems like a good idea. Its also a win for another team when having client discussions to look at a transaction from another view point.
To your point, I don't dislike my specific area...I just want to expand and succeed in my interested area, but want to also show multiple capabilities in doing so.
I did one of the rotations. The impetus was picking up new skills to be more competitive in the job market. Though as long as I’m with EY, I always wanted to stay in my old group
How long are rotations for?
Does this apply for international rotations as well? (3-5 months)
I like the transaction execution part of it. I haven't done PMO work yet (been around 2 years), been focused on helping prepare the CIO re-org, interview clients globally, develop processes, and target op models. Various outputs to be frank.
Cause everyone wants to do strategy. Which is CDD unless you work with legacy PI Strategy partner
