Anyone drafted money transmitter customer terms and conditions before? Suggestions on where to find the specifics of what needs to be in it? Are they in consumer protection laws? Helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. (I have to review for NY specific requirements and have no idea where to begin.)

I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect. Can anyone offer advice?

is it allowed to bring in outsiders e.g. parents, friends to the office for a visit as allowed in companies like CISCO, VMWARE, ETC. ETC.

Currently working at EY and recently promoted Senior looking to switch into a Business Transformation consulting role. Could anyone provide some insights on the day to day, as we as the interview process? Thank you very much.

Hi Fishes,

I applied to one of the roles and after initial screening I happened to see in the website that there are no suitable openings for my profile.

I heard that the cool off period is six months. Does that apply to my situation because I didn't attend any interview.

Can I use referals to apply before 6 months? Or should I wait for 6 more months?

Thanks for your help.

Serious billing question - if during the course of the day, you first receive an email from Client A at say 11:10am and you read it, you then respond to it at 12:20pm. You get another email at 2pm from Client A and respond immediately. The next email comes in at 4pm, you read it and respond only at 4:30pm. None of the email responses take more than 3-5mins. You are working on matters for other clients at all other times during the day. How much are you billing for Client A?

I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.

People who don’t submit their time daily, how do you remember what you did and for how long? I’ve always just submitted each timer as soon as I finish a task—“call with x re y” really doesn’t take that long even if I’m busy, and if I don’t do it immediately I’ll forget all those little I did in the morning by the time I go to bed.
