Anyone else feel distracted and not able to concentrate because of the "open office" concept (i.e. no seperators between any desks at office)?

Anyone here going into office on a regular basis? Do you like or dislike it? I’m fully remote but thinking about going into the office at least few times a week to get back into a good routine.

Husband and I have been on a long journey TTC, and haven’t been on a vacation since September, just before we found out about our second trimester loss. Now, he doesn’t want to plan any trips so we can save $ for IVF - planned retrieval in late March. Hello, HR Professionals or Recruiters. I’m struggling on which certifications to get. Just pivoted into a Talent Sourcer role, I have experience of talent attraction but I wonder which HR/recruitment qualifications I could do to support my transition.

Deciding between:
1. CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice (will allow me to gain a high level view of the HR function that my new role fits into)
2. Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice

As a hyper-self-aware person, I’m always surprised when people aren’t. Not silencing phones/watches, gabbing loudly out in the open, sitting in an office with a call on full volume for all to hear.

How do people handle large conferences & the ask to network when it makes you very uncomfortable & exhausts you far faster than your peers. What’s a conference you’ve attended that’s been good to you?

I thought I had figured out how to mostly manage being an introvert and doing this work. Then I went from a project of 15 core stakeholders to one with 45… 🙃🤬😱

Sometimes i don’t want to fly back home weekly because there is no one at home and I’m single. Does anyone just stay at these client spots?

How can you tell when staying home alone is introversion vs social withdrawal/isolation, which is a symptom of something more serious?

I hate leading large meetings after 2-3pm. I always feel so relieved once the meeting is over that my brain thinks the day is done. But I usually have a bunch of follow up work to do 😑

This shelter in place is finally starting to have an impact on me. I have a good core group of friends but I am having a hard time sustaining the relationship in this environment. So much alone time to reflect on things in my head and I’m finally starting to feel lonely. Am I the only one feeling this way?
