https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/pandemic-preparedness-workplace-and-americans-disabilities-act MUST read for all HR professionals
My team has made tremendous efforts during the pandemic to ensure the safety of all facilities and people in our region as we resume in-office activity. Predicated on confidentiality, my colleague went to HR with negative feedback re a specific leader’s flexibility with the *mandatory* PPE protocol. The HR Manager went directly to the leader and gave the feedback along w my colleagues name. Since that day she’s been heavily “taxed.” HR has a responsibility to protect anonymity. How to handle?
I’m curious: what kind of roles are out there for someone who wants to use creativity within the HR space?
Has anyone had a request to terminate an employee after they returned from a leave of absence? What was your experience like?
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.
Being a Customer Success Manager is a second career for me. Any other CSM’s here and have you read any books or been to a workshop or conference that helped you be better at your job?
I have seven years' experience in executive search (based in APAC but have worked on global roles) and want to leave the industry for either an in-house talent role or a consulting firm. I haven't had much luck when I've applied for internal roles in the past. Do I have any chance at getting an in-house talent acquisition role, or is an executive search skill set just regarded as too weird/not the right fit for internal talent teams?
Medical benefit survey on contribution levels across all plan tiers Please share: * Number of benefit eligible employees * Location of company * How many medical plans offered * Employer/Employee contribution * Did you receive an increase for 2021, if so what % * If you received an increase did that change your contribution levels? Anybody ever look into “Monday.com” to organize the operation of a management team for a sales organization? Is it impactful?
How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?
I'm an Ops Manager and we have about 150 employees. I'm being forced to create an "Outdoor Office." Has anyone else dealt with this sort of initiative? Is it just me or is this a bad idea?
Living in SF but remote until September (earliest). Rent is too high + apartment too small to justify staying for 3+ months. Playing with the idea to leave (temp or perm). Are people doing the same?
I posted a question a week or so ago about how to read 10-K's. Today, I found a sales summit that is coming up that has a presentation on this topic. I posted the link below if yall want to check it out. https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/sales-success-summit
Has anyone had to deal with employee professionalism issues due to mishaps on Zoom / remote work culture?
Looking for some advice here. I am starting a tax llm program at a top ranked program but don’t have a background in tax or business. What are my chances of being hired at a good place? I am not T14 not even close but did pretty well in law school. I’m so nervous right now. TIA.
Does anyone feel like exit opp prospects are seeming dimmer every year? I'm in a role where all my projects are on the "business strategy" end (revenue growth, operating model, etc.) and I spend all day running workshops, making slides, and crunching numbers in Excel. I don't think I've built any tangible skills (coding, financial modeling, etc.) in 3 years. When I look at roles for BizOps or PM, it seems like Investment Bankers and SWEs are in higher demand. Do y'all feel this way too?
Real diversity in MBB? Let me know if you have observed otherwise. Seems to me only rich white (mostly males) make it into the MBB. Sometimes, I see an ethnic diverse person only to find out
Anyone do woodworking as a side hustle? I already do some woodworking. I'm looking for ideas that will sell but don't want anything too large. Feel like corn hole is over supplied now.
I'd like to ask a question of the young professionals here. Why Financial Services? When did you know that you wanted to pursue a career in FS and what motivated you?
I was just offered 65k TC for a Sr Product Analyst role at a decent name (ie. Walmart, Toyota) in T2 city. Current TC is 105k. It may sound arrogant but I feel disrespected.
Thoughts on Optimus SBR? Culture, reputation etc. Offered a role there an an associate consultant (currently in Deloitte S&O)
Would you get a massage during COVID? My back is tight and it would help, but is it worth the risk?
What are some safe way to get additional income (rental property, etc) while on H1B? Safe as in if you leave the country due to visa, it wouldn't be a mess to close / end things
Delta diamond but tonight I'm flying Southwest for the first time (and my precheck didn't show on my boarding pass)... now I get why people ask me all the time if traveling every week is exhausting...
Any recent Vermont Center H1B transfers? I am on business day 6 and calendar day 9 in premium processing and haven’t received an update. Any experiences regarding processing times?
What are some unwise financial decisions you made in your early 20s/things you wish you did? I am just starting off my career and would appreciate some financial wisdom💕
Looks like there is more damage Corona does even if you get recovered. https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2020/05/06/coronavirus-survivors-banned-from-joining-the-military/
