Hello everyone! I am currently new to the UX world, but I found that I've really connected with it since doing some research on the role as a UX Researcher. I have my BS in Psychology and CLDP, and I've had experience with research while in college. However, I'm not sure if my current role would be helpful in transitioning into this career. If anyone could provide some advice as where I could start in order to gain more knowledge or if anyone has any helpful resources that would be great!

HCOL audit SM looking to leave big 4. What should be my comp expectation?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

I was promoted to manager in July 2020 (3,5 yr of experience). Currently preparing for YE but honestly, I couldn’t care less - what motivates one to push for SM promotion? Not my case atm, but wanted to hear what motivates ppl to keep going as I don’t feel like it’s worth it.

Left IBD to quickly - VP1 opps?

Long story short - was lured into an opportunity to do BD for a large PE PortCo… better work/life balance, but honestly miss the deal cycle.

Anyone know of open VP1 opps right now?

Quick background - former MM banker (think Raymond James, Piper Sandler size) doing FinTech and Asset Management within FIG, but also open to other sectors.

I started QA at the company I am currently at 3 years ago. Long story short, within 4 months at the company, I was able to make a career change and step into a PM position. Without having the formal education or PM experience, only my 5 years in QA experience. When I started I made $65k and have jumped to $78k. I have seen other companies post $100k+. Annual review is tomorrow. Should I fight for more or look for more somewhere else if I lose that fight?

Hi , I recently started preparing for " data analyst" course. I have masters degree in computer science and 2 years experience as business analyst. Currently I'm on a career break of almost 7 years and trying to get back into IT as a data analyst now.

Applied to a job and was referred. My referral let me know ~5 days after I applied that they received an email that my application was passed to the hiring team. That was three weeks ago and haven’t heard anything from Google and my referral hasn’t heard anything. Job posting is still live. This is for a strategic initiatives role.
