With my 20 years of experience at small business management firms, I had an interview with one of the biggies. I was then asked to take an aptitude test in accounting, and Microsoft Word (!), as if I would need to use all those little icons (that most people don't know what their function is, unless they are writing a manuscript or research paper) to pay rich people's bills. (I should mention that I had previously corrected the grammar for one of my superior's correspondence to a client, and also re-wrote a client's email to the VP of a record label to request an increase in the recording budget). I completed the tests, and then I was ghosted. I applied a year later, interviewed with different people, and was asked to take the tests again. I respectfully declined, which I probably should have done the first time.
