How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.

Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

8-6 minimum daily and no access to internet ever. The Bloomberg hq in NYC is insane at least
Lol no, u will have access to internet. Just that u cannot open social media etc at work. Rest all works fine. Thats becoz its more of a security risk for the firm as it is a data firm. Also everything is monitored so closely by the security team. So, don’t worry as long as u do not compromise u r fine
Work life balance is mostly driven by the department you are in and your manager!
Thanks SC1! interested on the flexibility con. Wondering if that’s changed amid this whole pandemic?
Also any other insights on the WLB? Really looking for a gig where most nights I’m out of the office by 6, and get away from the crazy hours consultants are expected to pull (obviously willing to pull a late night if needed)
They are all working from home now, very unusual for the firm. I had a very pretty good work life balance while there as my manager is chill and respects time outside work. As I said, it all depends on your manager and department. No way to know it unless u talk to someone personally in the team u wer offered the position in. I am sure comp would be pretty good!
