Anyone have insight into the Capital One product manager case study? Reviews online are saying there’s some tricky math involved and was curious if anyone had pointers for how to prep or what they’re looking for (I still struggle and get flustered with on the spot math, but am great when I have more time to think)

Not sure about Capital One specifically but have to ask - have you read Cracking the PM Interview?

I have read it but I’ve never been great at math on the spot. It flusters me. No matter how much I prep, I still end up fumbling. Only on the math portions - everything else is fine.

Poll: You’ve applied for two internal positions, both lateral moves. Position A is the job you’re truly passionate about while Position B is still good but not the first choice. Position B gives you an offer right away while Position A is still in the early stages of interviews and may take another month to learn if you’re even selected. Do you accept the offer on the table for Position B or hold out and hope for Position A?

A question I asked myself several times, even today, 7 months after my master's degree in computer engineering. ‘What is the difference between my degree and computer science from a professional point of view?’. After graduating I worked for an automotive engineering company for 3 months, a job I quit as there was no coding at all and I love coding. Now I've been unemployed for 3 months and my friends keep telling me that the jobs I'm applying to are more for "computer science" students.

I was in the final round of interview with Amazon right before the layoff news came out. A week later, I got an “incline” offer for the position that I’m applying to. Can anyone share their experience and tell me what that “incline” means? Retail Operations getting hit. I wonder if this opening will still be available. If so, I got an offer later. Will this be a hire to fire case?

I’m in a final rounds of two companies that I potentially want to work for, Grubhub and Groupon. I recently had a recruiter from Deloitte digital reach out as well. At this point I’m not sure if I should reject the recruiter or go ahead with an interview even though I might be getting offers this month from other two companies. I’m honestly torn because they all seem like great opportunities and it’s absolutely wild to me how all three are happening at the same time for me.

Am working at a tech startup and looking to move to a larger tech company. Partly seeking better WLB, partly want to work somewhere with more resources so I can continue to grow. What’s a good way to frame this in interviews? Does it reflect poorly to say I want to work somewhere w more resources, like im not a self starter?

So I have been offered a job at multinational company as a Data Engg. It was a part of the hiring event, and literally got selected with a VERY VERY SIMPLE technical assessment, and a 45 minute interview.

The pay should within my expectations, but I am unsure about the company and the team.

Just that the process was way too easy so quick. I do not even know the hiring manager.

Has someone been a part of this before? Any suggestions if I should go for it? What should I ask?

Advice Please
It's been 4month with the team with no manager. I recently joined the organization and the team I am part of is headed by a lead and one analyst.
So being a new member as Sr.Data Analyst I sometimes have to report to analyst. Considering the fact that he has been part of the team for past 1 year and sometimes he sounds like lead as he is leading some project.
On other hand my manager is continuously asking me take lead in project and try to reduce dependency on that analyst.
