Anyone here familiar with the hiring process of KPMG consulting in Van? Had a partner interview on Nov 21, thought the feedback was positive but haven't heard back yet (no rejection/offer). Is it something normal or the interview just didn't go as well as I thought?

It's an experienced hire for an SC role. I saw the posting is still open atm, and my guess is that the recruiting team is comparing candidates since competition is higher due to recent layoffs.

Over the last year I’ve had 4 separate interview cycles where after the final round I’ve gotten “you had all strong feedback but the team went with the other candidate.” It’s really insulting to hear these companies say that there isn’t enough qualified black candidates but have your own experience show you that you can do everything right but still you don’t get the offer due to not looking the part I guess

I was affected by layoffs about a month ago and urgently looking for a good immigration lawyer. The lawyer should be experienced in handling this 60 day grace period situation and developing alternate strategies - such as change of status to B1/B2 or applying to jobs from India. There is a lot of noise and wrong information going in the market so looking for good recommendations.

What’s the normal time frame for a company to make an offer after the final interview? Is no news good news?

Applied to Data Scientist position and after final round of interviews, recruiter told me I needed to do one additional interview due to lack of signal from hiring committee. This was two weeks ago and at that time I told recruiter that I have another offer in hand that expires soon. Recruiter was very responsive before the additional interview and now is completely unresponsive to my emails. What should I do?

Help! I’m hiring, and it’s down to 2 candidates. One is not as qualified, would require a lot of training, a great fit culturally and brings diversity to the agency.
