1) Stay in the company where you are not liking the work culture (Skills not getting used & MicroManagement is poor) but offering Onsite and will try to match offer in hand package.
OR
2) Keep looking for a change to explore better opportunities (May be not onsite).

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Looking from some insight on exit opportunities to tech firms - Amazon, Google, smaller tech firms. I have an engineering background but have mostly worked in finance for close to 10 years. I feel I am lagging in technology to get into these firms. Any recommendations on skills to develop?

Got two offers that I’m thinking through:
Context: 2 YOE, San Francisco
1. Consulting - 150k, fully remote, stagnant growth but easy to make a ton of money and get promoted, would probably move to MCOL if I take this role
2. Big Tech - 165k, in office role and opportunity to learn a lot and grow, great team and benefits

Any googlers that can offer a perspective? Cleared all interviews for TPM. No HC review yet, as the recruiter says the new process is to find a match before HC. Had conversations with 3-4 teams so far, many times great feedback/compliments even during the team matching chat, but no successful match yet. I am told that there were internal candidates that fit the role better. The wait on since May, starting to lose hope now. Is team matching supposed to be this hard?

I am now the only person managing BD for the whole of Canada for several service lines. US based finance related company. I report to one manager & the CEO. No commission, just salary and bonus. Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.

We use Deloitte India for a number of parts of our delivery. Recently I have seen some unethical practices that violate labor laws and do not align with Deloitte principles. My manager says it isn’t my problem as they are a vendor but I can’t help thinking I have an ethical responsibility to do something. Any advice as to how to approach this without being fired?
