Universal studios and knotts scary farm are good options if you’re willing to go to LA
I thought it was really scary as a grown adult lol. Universal studios is especially scary because the studio makes all those horror movies so they will use actual characters from the movies and have full blown costume and makeup… I remember they had a chucky that was terrifying.
Be careful about taking an 11 year old to "the scariest haunted house", that sounds like it's more for you than her. Kids her age like fun, not fear.
"For an 11-year-old, consider the Whaley House or Haunted San Diego Ghost Tours for age-appropriate spooky fun with a historical focus. Avoid traditional, high-intensity scream-focused attractions like SeaWorld's Howl-O-Scream or Scotty's Scare Trail unless you know your daughter enjoys genuinely terrifying experiences. Family-friendly escape rooms like those offered by Brainy Actz Escape Rooms provide an engaging, less frightening alternative focused on puzzles and stories."

Nice!
Knotts Berry was the best back in the day, but I would be concerned about an 11 year old. They would pack the park with monsters and manufactured scares throughout. It was a lot of fun.

East county San Diego has transformed the old Marshall Scotty's into a haunted trail this year.
