Interviewing at so many places and often get dinged at final rounds. Hoping and praying for the right one to work out.

I’m working in a large fund; market neutral public market strategy funds; am about to be recommended for a promotion to associate. However, an analyst position just opened up internally in Credit, which is where I aspire to be for the next ten years. More growth and more intellectual challenge. I’m conflicted about applying for a lateral transfer and losing out on a promotion. Will I be missing out a promotion or should I negotiate a promotion as part of my application to this role ?

I gave a skill test for LTI last week , after that got an email from HR to share my updated CV . No reply afterwards . Does thatmean I have cleared the skill test ? How long it would take for the next round of I clear skill test ?

I honestly don't know what employers are looking for in candidates applying for analytic positions anymore. Although I currently work as a business/data analyst, I'm starting to think I'm actually not one based on the conversations I've had. Thinking of changing careers, since I'm barely making progress in this one and I can't seem to land another opportunity.

There is an opportunity that I’m currently interviewing for that is very interesting to me. I’m interviewing two other places but I’m not responding to LinkedIn emails for other positions. The other positions don’t interest me as much. On one hand I don’t want to waste time prepping for all positions and rather put that time only for the ones that I have going on, on the other hand I feel like what is that falls through.
