Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.
Nagarro

Were they mean or direct asking you to make your case why they should hire you over someone with seven years of experience? If they were "mean" be glad you dodged a bullet. No need to go to HR....if they were, the manager was probably an ass and went over to complain to them for "wasting their time" by sending them a candidate to interview, so they already know.
I was wondering this as well. It sounds like they may have just been very direct. I don't know if they were trying to be mean.
Thank God that their true colors showed now and not later

The questions you highlighted above are valid questions I would expect a recruiter or hiring manager to ask. They may not have delivered them well or you may have translated their intent incorrectly. However, I don’t think the questions themselves are offensive. I would assume their intent was good and they were probing for qualifications.
Agree with ODM1, very unfortunate. Sleep on it for now. You most likely will hardly interact with them following the hire. If it’s a single bad apple, you can ignore them but if it’s endemic of a bad culture, get out of there.
