Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

I don’t agree with the point of view Hhcmg 1. A completely baseless statement. If someone has received promotion then because they deserved.
Everything is problem for Hhcmg.
But I heard from many ppl abt this boot licking concept in Globant. And I also somewhat believe on this. Though i was heavily low balled by these so called HRs butstil I used to givegood comments but now If anyone takes advice I will ask them not to join. And you know the reason- firing, no hikes etc.
Yes people are posting their promotions updates. No news about appraisal though. But it is told that there will be some update by Sep or Oct in this regards.
Look, I don’t think they have completely ruled out appraisal this year. It’s matter of a few more months. Yes looking at the circumstances, I too agree that the numbers won’t be as great as it was last year. Perhaps, on an average you can say 10 - 15%.
