I know that I cannot expect to start here in the US where I left my precious job as Sales Manager and I am fine with that.
But what can I demand in terms of salary (base/commission/boni) in the DC area? I am currently in the middle of an interview process and the company offered 60k base salary.

Any attorneys here with ADHD/ADD? I was recently diagnosed ADHD, but it was clear I had it my whole life. It did not materially hinder me until law school, and now it’s pretty debilitating as an associate. Since I have been medicated, some executive functioning has been better but it’s really hit or miss. Anyone have any success stories? Would in-house be easier to manage as there is less executive functioning (ie no timekeeping and billing)? I appreciate any response in advance. Thanks!

I lateralled into biglaw from a compliance job a couple of months ago because I was given a "too good to be true" opportunity (2 years out of law school), and I have regretted it ever since. Has anyone successfully left biglaw after one year and gone in house or boutique? (Please no nasty comments, we all make mistakes when that much money is involved). I can afford the pay cut thankfully, just worried about the ability to find work.

Curious: When working at home (Nights or Weekends)… Are you more productive or do you enjoy having a desktop versus a laptop? I love my laptop but sometimes I find myself wishing I was at the office on my big screen. Thinking of getting a desktop for home but also understand that it may be a mega waste of money. Was about to go “of counsel” with my firm of 6 years, but then another firm whose partners I really respect (and personally like) offered me a partnership position.
