You’re better off following the safe sleep 7 and cosleeping
No judgment please, but yes. Our LO seems to hate firmness of the bassinet and pack n play. We don't use it every night, but he does occasionally nap in it on weekends and overnight once in a while. Not the recommended use, but we've had no issues. He's slept in it occasionally since we brought him home and he's 11 months now.
We used it for several weeks with both of my kids. While they were still in that phase of wanting to be held, I think it gave the a bit more snugness.
I’m not judging, and used it a few times myself before stopping cold turkey… but the dockatot and similar are not safe for overnight/unsupervised sleep. They pose a significant asphyxiation risk with raised/padded walls. Survivor bias pushes normative use that can be very dangerous — other babies being ok does not mean a product is safe.
After discontinuing use of the dokatot, we ended up finding a swaddle that worked well/easier and also putting baby against the side of the bassinet instead of in the middle to give some of that similar pressure to her side.
