Anyone visited FBI hq as a tourist? You have to apply for it and wait for approval, wondering if the juice was worth the squeeze. I do pass by the DC area visiting family a few times a year.

I'm pretty sure you can just walk in and say you're with DOGE and do whatever you want 🤣

My buddy visited their Quantico campus while we were in the Marines at TBS. He didn’t hear that the Night Land Nav course had was only like 500 yards long so like any good 2ndLt, he took his compass, shot his azimuth, and pushed across three water features until someone scooped him up soaking wet at an FBI building miles from the camp. He ended up as a JAG so no Marines were ever harmed by his land navigation.

Haven't thought about touring the Fbi building. The Pentagon is worth it if you haven't been.

bet, I’m out now so can only do stuff as a tourist lol

I visited as a tourist when I was a kid, it was a simpler time and I think you could just line up and go in. I don't recall my family having any problem. I don't remember it really well, but I do vaguely recall there was like crime lab type stuff, and at the end of the tour they showed off a firing range in the basement. They had shell casings and you could take one as a souvenir, I remember having that for years in a cigar box of odds and ends I kept on my dresser.

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?

How do you approach the initial conversation with your doctor? I have taken a variety of both anti anxiety and anti depressants. Nothing works. I’ve been reading online and in this bowl, and a lot of ADHD symptoms really resonate with me. They have for a long time, frankly, but I couldn’t get my former provider to take me seriously when I was in college/law school. I’m hoping the context of being out of school helps, but I just want to make sure I maximize my odds of getting help (cont)

Have any of you vets felt crappy and found out it was low testosterone? I recently had a blood test and found this out myself, from looking online it appears that this is pretty common in a lot of vets and men in general. I’m curious if this is a common thing that I just didn’t know impacted a lot of vets and / or could be service related.
