I may detest my firm at times but I work on cool stuff, get paid really well, work maybe 40-50 max, and work remotely from home with occasional travel. Oh yeah and firm posted it’s highest revenue ever. Maybe it’s not the ivory tower but it fits my life-long middle class ass just fine.

Also: you need to define winner. Deloitte is probably the largest overall and pays the most on average. EY has a better culture. PwC uses Google office. And KPMG is…well they try.
I’d say top performers (tier 1) definitely earn the best pay. On average perhaps deloitte wins a bit.
And my google office goes away this weekend thank you 😕😕

As someone working at KPMG I’m here just to see how creative you guys can roast us but gotta say kinda disappointed u guys need to step up your game

I think the objective rating is that Accenture is better than the big 4 when you ignore S& and EYP.
With them it’s like

Just make sure you find the right crew within
KPMG has a great culture and is often regarded as the best when it comes to WLB. Deloitte is more stuffy, but pay tends more on the high end. Accenture is good if you’re seeking great exit opportunities in tech.

The real difference will be by team. Working in change, people and culture you are likely far more supported than other parts of the firm. I’ve worked at Deloitte, EY, a few tier 3(?) types, some contracting and the Army. There’s also some chat about salary, I know for a fact the bands run higher at EY V Deloitte but again, that only matters if you’re pushing top of a band and then, maybe if you’re over the top you have just justification for the next grade up?
My view is:
Deloitte - solid, arguably top spot, highly professional. A bit bland though.
EY - Bring a bit more fun, imagination, culture and better work/life balance.
PwC - prestigious,don’t really care about others, do what they do well and are happy.
KPMG - clearly struggling to keep up with the Big4 as a firm but probably doing some more interesting stuff to shake up culture.
The question of who is the best will depend on your own goals. Best work life balance, culture, just cash, what?
You’ll probably find it also varies by team and moment. A hop often brings a pay rise and a chance to reset expectations.

I’m going to say Deloitte would be clear winner depending on what space/market you’re talking about.
Bc I was trying to be modest by saying depends what offering/market you’re really talking about. But if you want to go down that path Deloitte dominates most of the marketplaces there are to cover. So there ya go 😏
