Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Same timeline at KPMG (for Advisory at least). Those who are promoted are notified in July/August and it goes into effect October 1st.
Every 6 months Autumn/Fall and Spring
Year ends Aug 30th, performance announced early November, effective December 1st. Midyear promotions are mostly for exceptional or new analysts but they'd be announced May, effective June 1st.
Same. June and September respectively
Notified by June 15th (managers find out in May because of compliance requirements), goes into effect July 1st. We have mid-year promotions for the first time this coming winter but I’m unsure of timeline. I would assume it’ll take effect January 1st.
End of year, but we have a handful in June too
When the decision is made is dependent on your cohort/level/tenure and office, but applied based on timing since you begin as a C. We have review cycles every 6 months (this is where timing may vary) so typically decisions are made then, but can be applied before or after the actual decision by a few months based on when you started
