Are any recruiting companies better than others for in-house? Not sure where I got the impression Major Lindsey and Africa was good for in-house but would love any info people have.

Recruiter here. If you are looking to go in-house, you should be on the radar of every recruiting agency that has in-house jobs. Unlike law firm roles, in-house jobs are generally exclusive to one recruiting agency, so you've got to go through that agency to get that job.

My firm, Empire Search Partners, does a lot of in-house work, especially in NY, but also across the country (and remote). PE, VC, public and private companies. We have more than 30 active in-house jobs right now. But that's just a fraction of the market, so you should have a relationship with someone at Empire and also at any other recruiter who has good in-house jobs in your market.
