Venture X yes. Amex Plat probably not. As always it depends on what you're looking for.
I have Venture X and previously had Sapphire Reserve (downgraded). For any premium card, it depends if you can naturally use the credits and their lounges. Venture X is the easiest one by far though.

Yeah and a $395 fee offset by yearly $300 travel credit and 10k miles, plus global entry and lounges, it's a keeper. I don't like using portals but it is what it is.
Their lounges are some of the best too. Hopefully your home airport has one. The miles are best used for international biz class.
If you fly on airplanes more than once a year or to different countries, venture X is definitely worth it. Pay and enjoy
Venture X is amazing for me so far. Huge fan of their portal and service. Like all cards u have to spend money to get money, but as someone who averages about 1.5 trips a month, 10x hotel and 5x flights add up quick. 2x on everything is also great for everyday. Obviously are better cards for dining, groceries, gas etc. which I have… but it’s my favorite travel card if u aren’t loyal to 1 hotel or airline
I have both cards and I’d say they are worth it. I like to gamify the system with them and helps that I get $150 off the Amex annual fee for having a corp card with them already.
But the VX is $395/yr and they give you a $300 travel credit and 10k (=$100) points every year so it will always be worth it.
I find Amex Platinum is worth it, but just barely. The Uber credit, the Saks credit, and the Disney+ credit together more or less cover the annual fee. If you use the hotels deal or the Delta club, or the other perks, you are ahead.

Considering that Blue Cash Preferred gives Disney+ for a much, much lower fee and Uber has proven to charge more for people using Amex credits, plus Costco sells Uber gift cards for 20% and sometimes 25% off, it's tricky to value these perks at full value.
The best perk is Centurion lounge access given how plentiful they are. Up to the individual if that makes sense over other cards.
Also new Amex Plat fee was leaked and it is increasing to $895.
