Were they equal amounts each time you DCA? I don't see how you are down after contributing for a few years unless you did more in the last 12 months.

Regardless you're good if you keep buying.

yes, contributing more now that I earn more now. good call

I’m down $50,000 on the year. Completely normal and don’t care at all. Buying more in fact.

Dumped my year-end bonus into the market last January and definitely feel a little stupid for having done that, but I keep putting in more and hoping for the best.

Personally downs 100K overall b/w brokerage and 401K accounts. Staying the course with exact same amount every month. If I get any surplus will buy more. 25-30 yrs down the lane I will be so thankful to my younger self.

Have any tips?

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
