TBWA NY recruiter?
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Not necessarily. I just think you have to make sure to choose someone with a solid reputation that specializes in your field and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Exactly. Doing the research will help hire the best coach for you.
I'm always iffy on if they actively do anything for your career. But IMO, when you're seeking one out, it's usually when you're questioning yourself/skills/decision making, and you likely don't feel like you have anyone you'd deem an 'authority' on the subject to lean on. So if nothing else, sometimes it's nice just to have a third party perspective to pump your tires a little bit. Sometimes all you really need is a confidence boost.
Interesting… I’ll try to take note of this.

Absolutely not, especially as someone more junior.
Ideally it would be nice to find a solid mentor, but it’s very difficult and they can’t help you in all areas that you may need coaching in to get to where you want to be. Also, everyone’s time is valuable so I think it’s a lot better of a give and take when actually paying someone.

It depends on who it is. You need to find one that cares about both. I can refer you to mine if you’d like. She was actually an agency recruiter for a long time! She’s great and checks on me randomly even if I’m not actively meeting with her. She helped me land a brand side offer last week lol.
