Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Tata Consultancy IBM Infosys @HARMAN IBM Accenture Cognizant
FUN getting delisted from Trex apparently

People also need to understand that this is not 2021-2022 or even 2015-2020. Lots of people in tech are out of work right now. New grads can't find entry level roles. Seniors can't find roles. Directors and VPs can't find roles. Companies announce more layoffs every week. Hiring is slow or non-existent at many companies. There are plenty of qualified Americans available, and they need to come first.
Exactly ! A countrys government has to think about its people. And they are absolutely right about brining whatever reforms they need to bring.
It’s interesting that as an H1B visa holder you are so emboldened to tell US citizens that we need protection from highly skilled people like yourself. It’s not that no one can accept that some people abuse the system. That is not unique to people here on work visas. Immigration has always been a critical aspect of the American economy. Immigration, and specifically H1B visas, is low on the list of things in this country requiring a revamp. Immigration, and specifically H1B visas, are not the cause of inflation, unemployment, high housing costs, women’s rights being rolled back, an increasingly partisan Supreme Court, human rights violations, constitutional violations, etc.
Whoops. Wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t.
Folks that may or may not be skilled. There has to be a skillbased admission and a validation to confirm that a position cannot be filled by a US born citizen ..
This is to protect the American citizens. No one can accept thr fact that people from other countries can come here, abuse the system , earn money, and feel entitled to get a green card and citizenship when their own ppl are struggling
Sure, I’m ears. But I will be coming into that conversation supporting immigration via work visas. I also would like to call to attention that many of the visas are specialized jobs in industries that don’t pay well. So using salary is not a valid approach IMO.
As God, I must banish you to hell.
No where I have said that h1b is the real problem. I am suggesting that this program needs a revamp. It has to be skill based.
Also whoever enters USA considera staying here permanently as a right and not a privilege. There has to be an acceptance by us visa holders that this is a temporary situation which we all signed up for.
You’re painting with the broadest brush they sell at ace hardware.
Few Desi consultancies and WITCH companies have abused the system to such an extent that both Bernie and Donald are against H1B right now. The lottery system needs to be revamped and transparency needs to be improved
