As a Marketing Automation Manager, should I be expected to know sales/cold email outreach? My experience is purely inbound email and that’s what the description called for in this role when I joined. I know it’s not vastly different from inbound but it’s getting stressful having to learn platforms (like salesloft for example) on the fly that my agency keeps onboarding.

B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.

CTR, contracts and department overhaul

our marketing dept is undergoing a complete overhaul. under old leadership, a $75k 12-mo contract was signed to a marketing group that handles our SEO, blog and everything Google Ads. All things I can and am in training to do. Current CTRs on G ads seem pitiful at no more than 0.75%. My meta ads coast around 4-6%. During this overhaul, would it be wise to not renew our contract, and negotiate for me to take over these roles and leverage a raise?
