Lots of variable in that. Where you live, how you spend, significant other, etc etc. your the only one can really know your specific details.
Of course it is! I'm living it now and I don't even have my BSN. I have an ADN been a travel nurse for about 7yrs. Nurse for a total of 10yrs. I live in a big 6 bedroom house with a Beemers (BMW's) outside. My husband and I take international trips about every 2-3 years. But you have to be a good steward of your money to do this as well. All glory to God through him anything is possible!
Personally I do not believe so. Start a company, creative something, use AI. Don't look back to nursing. It's dead-end with the future of AI. Entrepreneurship is where it's at.
Yes! you can do it all! Many nurses work for these goals, but they are willing to work the off hours and weekends and get the OT! You can easily do it to!
If you save aggressively, take on extra shifts, get certs and job hop frequently, sure! The homeownership part will be much more doable if you're in a lower COL area, but even if you're not, it's possible with enough planning/saving/investing. Go make those dreams a reality!!
Nooooooooooo......
I did it and I live in Southern California. Here is how it can be done:
Set up a bank account with your checking and savings. Set up 2 more savings access at credit unions. Have money from your salary automatically deposited to your checking acct to cover your monthly expenses. Have the rest of your paycheck direct deposited to your credit unions. Even $10 increments will add up over time.
Cut out expensive treats like coffee/frappachino from places like Starbucks. Limit eating out to once a month. Cut cable TV use a Roku. Carry your lunch to work. I cook casseroles, meatloaf, spaghetti, etc, to have leftovers for lunch. Cook home-made snacks.
Look at where your money is spent and cut out or reduce the frivolous expenditures.
I had to move to an unpopular area to buy my 1st house. It was worth the extra driving. It tripled it's value in 5 years. Then I bought where I really wanted to live. I know it is a sacrifice, but it adds up quickly and you will be able to move up.

I don’t see why not if you pick up overtime and or switch jobs every once in a while I find switching jobs gets you a higher salary overall and maybe side gigs too.
Of course. Thats realistic. All my RN friends do in CA. I mean ehat type of 5bedroom house r we talking in what city/state. Im a nurse in CA and can afford 2 homes. My Dtr just becaame a nurse and makes $60/hr. She cant buy a house where she lives but she can save up and buy one a little further out or when she gets married.
Sure, nurses do most of the patient care. You should also benefit from others health misfortunes.
Everyone has different goals and priorities in life. Look at your income and budgeting, and work towards the most important things to you on that list.
There was probably a time where this was possible. Maybe in some of the southern states like Mississippi it’s affordable. However, in this economy, I think you might need a second income or someone to help share the bills with for this to come true sorry to say it really.
