Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

If you’re in sales or business development your perks are good and if you’re in product development or business functions salaries are at and around same range . Do certifications and look around. Lateral hiring is always get high salaries
Get another offer and ask for another match. If they say no, leave.
Don’t do that, it’s greedy.
You’ve played your outside offer match once… either you suck it up, move around internally… or get another offer and leave.
You try this again and your ass is first one out when layoffs come around
Seems extremely low. I make $154k base + $28k bonus last year with extremely low stress. I have been reviewed as an exceeds expectations over the last 3 years and put in about 28ish real work hours per week. Have gotten an offer as a CTO at a small company (approx. $20 million in annual revenue) and other director level positions for more pay ($200k+ base).
Hi, can you please guide me on how you managed to get those director level positions and cto role? How are you so successful? What do you do which I should be doing as a junior software engineer? I feel like I’m the worst engineer out there. I can give you my LinkedIn or any other social if you want to answer there I’ll be so soooo grateful. You can answer when you’re free of course.
VP of what ?
Software Engineer
If you can explain technical things in a way that makes finance people smarter, neither too technical or too simple, that helps. Understand how to ask for resources in a way that will be approved. Most of all, be trusted and memorable in a positive way, this will endear you to most people. If you are effective, it is harder to push back on ideas. Also, figure out what other people want from you, and take the time to help them. That could be a new employee or the boss of everyone.
Also, some people want a five minute explanation, other people like detail. Try to make sure you can explain it to your family or friends without a look of glazing over. Everybody has that subject they will discuss for hours, for some it is about work, school, relatjonships, food, or hobbies.
How many YOE OP?
I would suggest reviewing the Bell curve income distribution. Depending on your market, and there may be very very few people who make more than you do currently. I believe bls.gov has this information by industry
Do your research and include that in your decision-making process
That salary seems low for a VP in SWE, unless it's a startup or non-profit.
You mention a (target?) bonus but don't mention equity. It is very common for positions above director to give only modest base or even bonus bumps but to give considerably more equity, the idea being that an executive has more responsibility for company performance than an IC and thus more comp should be deferred and/or contingent.
If that NC job would require you to move to a place where people are afraid of LETTING OTHERS USE THE BATHROOM then no way it would be worth it.
Since SAP1 cowardly disables replies, I'll reply here.
Protect from what? From sex offenders like the one in the White House?
Trans people are people. They are not perps.
I make over 150k and have a 15% bonus and my title is senior engineer. I would look for a new job. I can slack a ton and get the same pay as you. And I don’t live in a high cost of living city.
Leave banking if you want more money and less stress.
One piece of missing information is where you are versus your peers internally and externally?
157k is not even close to VP of engineering pay. Is this a startup? How many years of experience do you have?
