At least at D, 1.5 is hard to justify a non-entry level position. You need 2-2.5. Just chill for 6 more months
I would wait for 6 more months then apply directly to the consultant position. D has a history of promising fast track promotion but backing off later with different excuses. Also consultant position has a higher pay band which allows them to offer higher starting pay.
1.5 not enough YOE imho. Either wait, or switch now to entry level and hope to be fast tracked if you show you’re performing at another level
I moved into Accenture with just under a year’s experience into a Consultant role, go for it
The comments here are valid but I personally jumped from B4 to a tier 2 with 10 months of exp as an entry level - never regretted, getting a better runway, and salary jump is 30%+ so.. if you feel like the jump is right make the jump for sure
Where did you jump?
Definitely go the experienced hire route, I left Accenture under 1.5 years for 40% bump and a big 4 firm. The sky's the limit
you can apply to experienced - don't sell yourself short and start over. just market yourself right.
Apply to experienced hire position as you have experience
I know 3 people that moved companies with 1 yoe and got experienced roles at other firms. It’s possible, when they ask you just make sure you explain in great length what you’ve accomplished within that year
What’s a target school? Why does it matter where I do my MBA, would it count any different from what school I do it ?
Only M7 + Dartmouth + NYU are respectable. Any other business school is a waste of time and money and you'll probably be worse off after you finish than you were 2 years prior as you'll accumulate debt.
