I made it the final round "panel" interviews with Amazon for a hardware engineering role. Anyone got any tips or experiences with Amazon interviews for a HW-oriented role?
It's 5 hours total, first two rounds are with managers. What I've done in the past is give as many examples as I could for HW solutions that I worked on highlighting the tech skills. Wondering if I can do more?
This post is for Infosys round.
I had first interview round of an interview on 20 Aug and after that on same day i have recieved a mail for documentation submit.
Then on 30 Aug i have second round of any interview and after that i haven't received any update yet
As per my status it shows Review in Progress staus since 21st Aug and two attend interview in green.

Also, i have 7 years of experience in IT and 3.5 years is relevant experience.
I have a job offer I'm considering and everyone I've spoken to in interviews has been great. But the recruitment process itself was clunky, slow, and not applicant-friendly. Does that indicate my experience working there will be bad? Or is it more important to look at the actual content of the interviews, which was good? For context, the company is owned by an equity firm and it seems like some of the bureaucracy is coming from them.
I received an email today from recruiter asking for a phone interview which I’m so happy to hear from but I applied about a month ago. I moved on and applied internally for a different role as a transfer. This new role is a promotion and my start date is next week. I immediately responded back to the recruiter and agreed to the phone interview for tomorrow 5/4…. Do I mention any of the above to them? Do I tell them I just accepted a new role and different position? Please advise
Is anyone willing to provide a referral for Spotify? (For a Senior Product Designer role) I am currently a Senior Product Designer / UX Lead. At the moment, I am interviewing with Meta and couple startups. But I’ve always loved the idea of working for Spotify, since it’s a product I’m passionate about. I thought I’d give it a shot before I consider other companies. Thanks so much!!
When interviewing for my position as an art director, I was told I would be assigned to a project that felt like it was made for me. I've been hired and the project has been assigned to someone else. I am upset because I only took this job because of that opportunity.

Help evaluating potential move please. I was at my first firm for 3 years. I got scalped at the start of biglaw hiring craze and it was awful. I honestly made it 6 months and jumped ship. I love my current firm but it’s my 3rd firm in now 3 1/2 years. I did move to explore a different practice area and love it. I got an offer to interview for an opportunity to go to Europe and I’m really considering it but 4 firms seems like too many. Do you agree? I wish I never jumped to the second one but I

Recently tried to buy series-I bonds from the fed and they refused to allow me to open an account without getting a notarized form with my address on it. They say it’s a 13 week processing time, which really pisses me off. Two questions:
1 - would I be able to max out 2022 plus 2023 series-I investments if they were bought in Jan 2023?
2 - is the treasury pulling this shit with everyone? In efforts to get fewer people to purchase series I?
Anyone working with Accenture Strategy who can refer me for an analyst level role?
Currently holding 2 YOE at EY business consulting. Thanks in advance! :)
Considering unusually high number of new hires on bench this year, will uncle D follow the same path?
I worked in HR for 11 years, with my most recent role being HR Manager for a small company (12-60 employees). I shifted careers to Personal Training in December 2020 due to instability at the small company and my passion for health and wellness.
Now I am now looking to get back into an HR role, preferably in a Benefits Analyst or a Generalist role. What advice do you have for approaching companies? Do they see things like certifications and SHRM membership as advantages?
Thank you in advance!
I have submitted my documents for final HR discussion with HCL. That was done two weeks before. Still haven’t received any updates from them. Any idea how long will it take for the team to respond back HCL Technologies
Do you observe that people generally like younger folks? ( I feel that tops even more so) I got 3x matches on Tinder and real life when I was 21-25 then 26-29. I am worried.

Im completely burned out on the weekly zoom chats I’ve scheduled with friends and coworkers to “catch up since we can’t see each other face to face.” Anyone else?
Any tips on how to tell your team members & connections that you're transitioning into a new role and leaving the company?
Hello everyone! I’m currently studying Business Law at uni (final months). My dreams job is to be an AML officer, but I don’t know how to get into this. I was thinking about getting a CAMS certificate, what else do you think I should do to get hired? Thank you in advance 🙏
Has anyone dealt with this before?
I am moving to the UK in Aug from the States, but I have a snub nosed pet and they’re not allowed on flights to the UK.
I heard people usually fly with them in the main cabin through France and then travel to England through the EuroTunnel, but I’m wondering if this will even be possible with all these quarantines in both Fr and UK... let alone figuring out the logistics.
Thoughts on active clients adding you on LinkedIn? OK or wait until you’ve left the firm?

I didn't know I was supposed to file taxes in multiple states when I started and honestly thought that I only needed to report the hours associated with my home office for revenue recognition/billing
@PwC expense. Is there a guideline on what "reasonable" means from a meal expense perspective? Colleague thinks a burger meal. Not a burger person. I love my seafood pasta that'll cost lil' more.
Anyone here with a negative net worth (excluding 401k) in their 30s? Or am I an outlier?
Which of B4 + MBB pays SWE/DS the most? I know they can't compare to FAANG, but just among these guys, who pays the most? Who has the best talent/tech implementations?
I’m a history major and have a hard time understanding when people talk about finance or accounting.
Any books that you guys can recommend that might help?

How are bonuses taxed in US?
Example: base salary $100k, and you get a $40k bonus.
When I pay taxes for the tax year, am I taxed on a total income of $140k? Or is the bonuses taxed higher (I keep seeing 22% witholding) and my total income is only ~$132k and I pay taxes on that?
Does the type of bonus matter? Sign-on bonuses vs AIP?
Having a hard time getting this answered by Google (core consulting skill fail!) but figured this applies to everyone and I'd ask.

New to Strategy Consulting in FS, any recommendations for success? Game plan, Mindset, Books, etc?
Working for a big 4 strategy firm in London and would like to move permanently (not secondment) to the US on an L1 visa next year after getting to senior associate. Does anyone have experience with this? Its unlikely my home partners would support the move outright, so is the best approach to apply directly to the desired US office after networking and get an offer + global mobility in place before giving notice?
Planning to do a PRM or FRM qual. How useful is it to move from Big 4 Risk and reg consulting to industry? Finding it hard to get anything other than non-PM roles

There are analyst that may be more senior in time at level, specific skill, testing to see if an analyst could fill a consultant role, or consultant came available after speaking with you. As for improving the outcome, there's little you could do in the examples cited. Consider working on executive presence, yeah fuzzy, look at how you communicate and try to notice the differences. It could help to record yourself answering questions and recognize the differences of those that have the presence. Tone, word choice, pace, filler words. It could be your project experience wasn't as good as another candidate for the specific role. You'll fill out your skill set as you develop.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Made me feel better and energized for next week! 🤗
Yeah, it happens. I sometimes have clients that don't want to pay for analyst at the last moment and rather spend more to get consultants. Also, sometime the scope changes or work streams are re-organized and different presence is needed...this doesn't mean you did a poor job.
There's so many factors on what could've happened OP that I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. A lot of times someone gets on the project from a prior relationship and things happened to work out last minute. I wouldn't take this personally. Keep networking and working on how best to sell yourself to the next project that comes along!
We often will "interview" when someone has skills "kind of like" what is needed or the description leaves room for interpretation to see if the person could fit. Other times, an ideal fit comes from a random email or chat with a colleague. It doesn't necessarily mean you did a bad job or even could do a better given your experience. It might mean you didn't interview well, but it could mean many other things. It's good you're trying to improve and keep looking for ways to get better. Keep in mind, the potential to do better doesn't equate to doing poorly. Stay positive, open to feedback, consider the feedback impartially, act on it, and decide if it worked. Avoid jumping to the conclusion you did poorly too quickly. Find someone you respect 2 levels above your current level and learn from them. You can do it either directly by asking or indirectly by observing guessing at how they would/should respond see what they actually do and the outcome. As you get better at predicting you know your instincts are getting better. Good luck. The firm is full type "A"s, we all want to succeed now, stay hungry, but remember a career is a marathon.
Why talk to an analyst to begin with if you prefer more experienced and senior resources?
SM1 i keep thinking that I should have the experience or skills already if they were interested and spoke with me. Which means I must have done a poor job at the interview and want to get better
