At a regional/top 20 firm and we have a bookkeeping service department that is terrible. Journal entries are completely wrong and not just wrong for tax purposes but really wrong. Basics like disposal of an asset, investment tracking, etc. We charge these clients thousands of dollars to do their books and then we spend hours on tax prep undoing what bookkeeping did and redoing it correctly. Then tax side gets chewed out for how much time is in the code. Is this normal?

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

Got an offer from a big bank’s operation department (fund reporting analyst), currently at EY faas and I’m not happy here, should I stick it out here until I get promotion or jump now? The salary offered is about the same I get now ( a few K higher). but I’m worried about flexibility (not as many vacations, promotions) if I jump to industry :(
