FactSet hi, does anyone have experience working for FactSet in Norwalk, CT? How is the culture like? Are they promoting from within? Turnover? Benefits? Pay? Work-life balance? I’m applying for an investment type role and taking a job with them would require relocation. Anything that you can share is much appreciated, thanks!
Hi fishes,
Why TCS is so rude and self proclaimed kinda. I declined TCS offer last year as they were giving very less CTC. Now I got interviewed again with TCS and cleared all the rounds but they are not reactivating my ibegin portal for document upload since I rejected them last year...in this way u think they will never ever reactivate my profile.

Hey OP. I took primary after my daughters birth. Best 8 weeks ever. Then I joined an internal team and worked from home for a year.
You need to claim that you are a primary caregiver. Then you get a much longer time. I know a couple of people who have done this. I look at it this way, if both parents work, you are equal caregivers, and this isn't a benefit you should voluntarily forfeit.
OP, take the full time. You only get one chance to be with your new baby. Pro-tip, you don't need to take it all at once. I think you can take the time off over a pre-defined period (e.g., 6 months)
OP - you get 8 weeks as the primary caregiver, which you are unless your spouse works for Accenture too (then you have to designate one as secondary). 1-800-432-2729. That number is to peoplelink. They can help you understand your options better
OP I'm in the same boat. Just scheduled my leave and it's 8 weeks. You can claim primary as long as your spouse doesn't also work for ACN. I talked to the person arranging it for me and they said it's up to you if you want to be primary or secondary.
If you work at Accenture you should have access to benefits at Live Well at Accenture.
Thanks D1 I'm looking forward to it! Great idea A4 thanks for the advice...didn't know you can split your leave like that!
FAMILY FIRST
Well, finally found a local project and back on track for promotion. This year I got 0% so...
Im currently on the 8 week leave and I'm the father. Take the 8 weeks then you will also get the Work Local opportunity for a year. Its so nice to work for a company that does this for both moms and dads.
Technically birth mothers get 8 weeks maternity and 8 weeks primary care giver. Or 16 weeks total.
6 weeks I believe
A1 just went on Live Well Page is down :(. A2 I HOPE you are right. I was told it was up to 2 weeks. Will keep researching here! Thanks folks
I think they recently extended it to 6 weeks. Congrats!
Ah just looked at the policy: Primary Caregiver is 8 weeks, and be given to only one parent. Secondary is 2 Weeks. Traditionally are Fathers Secondary Caregivers? What a crappy leave for dads if it's two weeks :)! One last question. I am a C3 now. So looking at promotion next year. I know that I will have job protection while on paternal leave. BUT really concern if I take 8 weeks off, how that may impact promotion. I know silly concern because by policy I'm protected. But the people factor is always a concern for me. Thanks for the support ACN peeps!
Fathers in traditional hetero relationship are almost always the secondary. I took 3 weeks of the 16 D now gives dads, as much as I sucks I didn't want to be one of the first dudes to take it. Congrats on fatherhood OP! My little guy is almost two months old, it's a really cool experience!
*it sucks
At D they let us take it in as small as 3 day blocks, absolutely use it up. I'm not using any PTO for the next 10 months, going to use paternity leave because it subtracts from the denominator on utilization
@A5 - what are you doing now? Interested in the ability to stay local for a year but also don't want to take a career hit.
Ah okay. Good to know!
