Based in Stockholm, Sweden, looking for advice on negotiating a salary raise above the average that the union will bargain for (3% range). Currently earning 47.5k SEK monthly.
I have done some research to try to understand actual salaries in the city. Has anyone done this successfully before? What helps in such a negotiation? Am I asking too much based on my current salary already? I would like to ask for 55-60k.

I feel like I'm at my wits end. I teach self-contained classes and according to the ISBE website my classes shouldn't be more than 8 students unless I have an aide - then it can be 10. I have no aide and most of my classes are around 14 kids. Some with behavior plans that are only out of our behavior room setting for my class... Is anybody else out there going through illegal class sizes for self-contained? How are you dealing? Maybe a vent session is in order.
