Been in BL for about 7 years and found out my husband is about to make over $1M in annual income (4x his prior income), MCOL area. Wish me luck in pursuing my Pilates princess era while expanding my RE investment portfolio - wishing speedy exits from the grind for all of you as well 😂💅🏻✌️

Imagine having $59 million (allegedly) and being this petty and ridiculous to strangers on the internet. Truly unhinged.

Good luck L1. I hope you find whatever peace you are seeking in this world that $59 million could not provide for you

Some of y’all really saw a post about a family financial win and immediately got triggered through your own misery lmao…

Enjoy the grind and the timesheets, I’ll be over here enjoying the optionality I now have 🥂

Thanks!! Yea sorry I thought the comment was clearly aimed at just the naysayers .. def no intent to gloat. Was just genuinely happy and sharing good news and shouldn’t have been surprised by the multiple negative comments in here. I was also proud of my husband for getting this bump.. he deserves it for sure ❤️

In the FIRE community, when somebody finally "makes it" and is able to exit the workforce, there's a tradition to say "Go ____ yourself" (but actually saying the middle word) and everybody in the community knows it's a good-natured way of saying congratulations.

So yeah... assume I've said it to you, and congrats!

Huh, I’ve seen GFY and always assumed it was intended to be “Good For You” in that context.

Has this happened to anyone before at McKinsey, offer getting rescinded due to economic/company downturn? A bit worried

Junior Associates - How much student loan debt are you and your peers in these days? A few young partners and counsel at my firm were discussing the student loan moratorium and most of us were convinced we could have paid the majority of our loans off with the bonuses associates got these last two years. But we are all old and when we graduated 150k to 200k was about the max student loan debt people graduated with. So educate me. What is the average student loan debt these days?

As a mid-senior level associate in litigation/investigations/arbitration, do you feel like what you’re currently doing is actually holding you back in terms of professional/personal development? I haven’t done caselaw research since 1L and this isn’t even my practice… wtf do I do (I am fully utilized in my normal work and have a few deals closing soon…)
