Hi Fishes, I've accepted offer from Accenture from their portal.. But now got new offer from EY and wants to join at EY. So how can I tell Accenture Accenture India that I'm not going to join them. Rather than not showing up on the date of joining? Can you please guide me? How do I let them know? My talent coach is not reachable

Strategy& vs. EY-Parthenon vs LEK? Pros and cons
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Former recruiter & HR PM:
From one PM to another, it might be a few things at play.
1) what industry are you shifting to. Some industries might be easier to crack than others.
2) when are you applying to these jobs and how are you applying? You will have more success on reqs that are just a few days old.
3) are you applying directly on a company site or through a staffing firm? Some people are reluctant to help others transition careers where others will look at your PMP, education and experience as a PM and not think twice about your industry.
I would encourage you to tailor your resume to the job you’re applying for.
With a PMP, an masters degree and experience - your transferable skills should be more than enough to at least get recruiter interviews.
Another thing - don’t list your salary in job applications. If anything put $1.00 or $0.00 because recruiters might write you off purely based on your comp.
Hope that helps!
I talk about this on my instagram account RecruiterTipsForYou.
Referrals are good, but they aren’t the end all be all.
For me personally, it took 16 applications at one company & 3 different interviews to find the right fit…and I did probably the same volume at 2 other target companies as well.
There are a lot of variables, and even though we put ourselves in the best spot to succeed, we don’t know a) how good the recruiter is, b) the volume of applicants, c) the quality of the other applicants.
When I recruited I had to reject a lot of great candidates simply because there were even better candidates…I did my best to shift the qualified people to other identical positions, but not all recruiters have that option.
You can also do a bit of a reverse here, and say you have 3 target companies.
Identify those recruiters and talent acquisition directors on LinkedIn - custom message connect with them.
Also, identify those areas where they have project managers - connect with those directors & senior directors…custom message, and then make the intro - “hey, I’ve seen some postings at your company & I think my background would make a great fit - I’ve applied a few times but I don’t hear back - any advice?” It’s a toss up, but you only need one person willing to help.
I don’t even know how that’s possible. We are hiring project managers like crazy and I see them on LinkedIn all the time for other companies. Are you trying to be something other than a project manager?
Nope looking for project management. Mainly tech and some
are in life sciences since I have some background since my client is a pharma company
I've been in a similar situation, over 350 applications with nothing. These days, you might need keyword tools like Jobalytics to prevent your resume from getting filtered since it might not have the "right keywords". Online applications are a rough deal and never seemed to work well for me.
Go through your LinkedIn, phone, and maybe even Facebook contacts and DM people asking for leads on either job opens, recruiters, or introductions to other people who might know of opportunities. My last job I got through a referral in response to a Facebook post from a guy I had 1 phone call with a full 2 years prior. You never know who out there could make that one key introduction you need, it could be their uncle or family friend who is the hiring manager.
Most people tend to keep their job search very private and to themselves. While you might not want to make it obvious to your current employer, there's no shame in looking for a job and asking people in your extended network for help!
