Being a senior veterinary assistant not credentialed what should I expect for a pay rate. I have 24 years of experience. I have done reception all the way to kennel. I am wondering if I am expecting too much?

You've been working for 10 years as a dental assistant and only make slightly above livable wages?

Either you have a serious lack of self-respect and have no idea what you're worth, or whoever you're working for is incredibly abusive.

$45 to $70 an hours. Now I am just spitballing here, there is nothing wrong with being a grunt. It makes a better employee, boss, owner. I will always hire a true professional. Get a raise!

How much to get credentialed

No amount of credentials will ever hold a candle to real-world work experience. Credentials just prove that you have passed the education, whereas work experience proves you can do the job.

For 24 years of experience, I would expect to be paid well into the upper-middle class and closer to the upper class range.

That's a ton of work experience. Looks like national average is around $18/hour, but your experience has to entitle you to pay well above the average. I would think $30+/hour is definitely within the realm of possibility for you. Probably above that if you're in MCOL or HCOL.

Does promotion happen while you're on bench in IT companies?
Hi All, I've completed two years in my current company and I was recently released from my project and my manager is trying to assign me to a new project hopefully.
My question is, will my promotion happen as I was eligible for the same and I was released to the bench as I'll be moving on to another project soon. Can someone enlighten me on this?

The recommendation is that you always have a project posted.

I’m reviewing my resume getting ready to start my job search and have a question for recruiters, hiring managers. I’m looking for a role brand-side not agency side. Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? My past roles have been such that I do a lot of marketing projects, tasks etc. but I’m not a specialist. I’m worried if I use this terminology I won’t even be considered for a role. Thank you

Good morning all I hope all is well. So I'm currently a Computer Engineer (Glorified Help desk support) for the MGM Resorts International Corporate IT office here in Vegas.

I currently have a Bachelor's in Computer Science but want to be Cloud Security Engineer. I'm debating whether to go for second bachelors at WGU in Cybersecurity while self studying Cloud certifications, or doing the Cloud Computing while self studying Cybersecurity certifications. Or just go Masters with IT concentration.

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

Got offered 68k after 2 years as a contractor (62.5k) doing project management/business admin in a tech department at a Fortune 500 bank. I have an A.S degree and working on my bachelor’s/masters may 2024. I negotiated to 84k NYC. I have seen interns get offered 38 per hour (79k) for internship positions with a similar role.

Thoughts? Should I go higher? I do my job well that’s why they decided to keep me as a contractor after my internship.

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? Thanks in advance!
