Im a new starter in FDD as a Senior, qualified and am sitting for CFA L2. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right to maximise my chances of landing a FO role in a PE/Fund or ER/M&A role at an BB/EB.

My current CTC is very low with respect to my YOE. CTC : 5.2 lpa
YoE : 4
Tech stack : Python , MLops
But now my manager has initiated H1B visa for me and the visa process is in progress.
Is it worth to wait till the H1B process completes to work in U.S (or) should i make a switch immediately. .

Depends on where you want to go and how you want to get there (economy vs biz vs first). I wouldn’t transfer until you have a redemption option in mind and they have open space for the class of service you want to fly in.

While it may or may not be a worse redemption rate, note you can use AMEX points on their travel site to buy tickets and sometimes they run specials so I usually check if that’s a good deal. Those tickets count as revenue tickets and thus earn miles and count towards status qualification with the carrier as AMEX Travel is actually buying them from the carrier.
I never find the redemption of Amex points to be that great, so I usually book a hotel with Amex points and cancel it later on. You’re not refunded the points, instead you get a statement credit. Essentially you get 25% redemption than directly using the points as a statement credit. I then book the flight with cash...
