I stand corrected, go to bcg
I went from a T2 to MBB and recently exited. A few thoughts:
1. I have not observed a significant difference in exit opportunities between my old firm and BCG. It varies much more by individual than by firm
2. Having said that I likely would not have landed the role I am in now without going to BCG. In my interview I talked mostly about the work I did there even though I had been at my previous firm much longer. I did a lot more work on big transformations and with CEOs at BCG which set me up well for my current role. But I’m not necessarily making more money or doing something cooler than my peers who left my old firm
3. MBB has better support for people who are leaving (voluntarily and otherwise)

Just exit from T2
The opportunities aren't that much better
I actually disagree. Coming from a T2 to BCG and the brand does open much more doors
Which doors open?

Are you getting the exit opps you want now? If no, then are people from MBB getting them? (LinkedIn check) and if yes, it makes sense to lateral
Do you have alternative routes to the desired exits, such as business school network? I've heard that solid experience from T2 plus contacts is usually good enough.
