Best consulting firms without the massive ego?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Looking to use Capco's wellness reimbursement for a gym membership. The company site includes Crunch fitness and states it will subsidize up to $50/month, which brings the $110/monthly fee down to $60. The general manager at a Crunch gym said Capco's subsidized plan cost is $25/month total, which is a significant discount compared to what the internal site states. Which one is right? What are you guys getting? Capco

If you are near downtown LA and your client is near a train station in SD the surf liner can be relaxing and enjoyable. If you are on the west side it doesn't make sense to go downtown to get on the train so you essentially have to drive. If you are doing this weekly and actually like your car (as in not fully depreciated) I would get a rental to avoid the mileage.
Live in SD (PB) and commuting to client site just Northwest of LA once a week (Mon-Thurs grind). Expense account = yes. Would like to arrive at client Monday as Sunday travel is not an option. Thanks for the help!
I live in PB! Take train so you can get work done!
Two-3 hour drive max take the 5 down not a bad drive at all. Same soor to door time as a plane
Yeah more detail please? 4 years as consultant in San Diego based in LA office. Are you in expense account? Are you commuting every week? Is it down Monday back Thursday or just going into office on Friday? Are you traveling elsewhere as well or just those two? Roughly where in SD and where in LA?
Your driving...
Yeah main question is your car or rental. Uber to airport and then grab a rental is one option. Less wear and tear on your car, but if you drive your car get some $$ back, but requires tracking it. Also a rental may be more presentable if you have a beater. Rental takes slightly more time in morning to pickup and the 405 in LA clogs up by like 7:30am
I normally try to leave hill crest by 5:15 when going to Century city or el segundo, for reference. Earlier better. Later will be traffic. Late Sunday night not a bad way to go really. Instead of going to bed early Sunday to get up early Monday just drive up late Sunday, get a few more SPG points, then sleep in a bit Monday
OP I know who you are lol. Drive up and get the reimbursement
Fly. 25 min flight and if your client is in West LA the commute isn't that bad. The coaster times from SD to LA are terrible and 3 hours no matter what.
Thanks everyone, especially @sm1! @p1 crowdsourcing👌
