Best way to move from consulting to an account executive role? Specifically at Salesforce

I just applied for an Operations Director position at a Long Island Hospital. I want to take my consultant skills and make an effort to get into health care, make an impact where I live.

Anyone ever feel like having a career in consulting is effectively sacrificing the best parts of your life, or what could be the best parts of your life?

General corporate in NY looking to lateral into tech transactions at one of the EC/VC firms. I’ve heard that I may get a class cut if I make the move but I’m ok with that. My worry is that EC/VC firms are crazy busy work differently from general corp, I also won’t have control over my hours, and potentially worse based on how billing differs (block billing on a few clients vs having to work with 15 or more startups). Is the same true for tech trans or IP group?

Am 2 months in to a new job with billable hours and I am miserable. How do I seamlessly go back to my old firm? Is this move a career killer?

I’ve been dabbling with the idea of getting into copywriting as something to soon the side but I have no experience doing it. What steps should I take (books to read, gigs to start with or pursue, etc) if I want to go from $0 and next to ) experience to $40k or so a year?

If I interview again for a differenr role, would I have to do all the interviews again or can I use some of the scores from previous interviews.
