Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Ignore it. There should be no expectation of answering emails or working on the weekend. I turn off my work phone and laptop over the weekend.
On the fast track are ya?
In these times I would take any and all work if it puts me farther back on the chopping block.
Ok zoomer.
Ignoring is always the wrong answer FYI, either do the work or say you’ll pick it up on Monday, but don’t just not respond
What are your required hours? I’m addition, these are not ordinary times. WFH for a lot of folks entails far more than just doing your day job. A boss should recognize that.
Tell him you have covid symptoms sooooo no
Can't really ignore it unfortunately...
Say you’ll be back online in X hours
Think about the consequences and work backward. Use the movie Office Space for inspiration.
Just say you can’t Preparing for Covid-19 sorry not sorry.
I'd just be happy to be employed right now honestly
You can’t live like that forever though! You don’t think a boss would abuse your time for knowing you would do anything because of the fear of losing your job?
Not sure what firm you work for... typically employment agreements state that you’ll be expected to work a certain number of hours above standard. Frankly if you’re complaining about working what sounds like an occasional weekend in a market environment where lots of people are losing their jobs, I don’t know what to say to you.
My company is letting a third of its staff go. Pay cuts for the rest.
