I wanted to leverage the hive mind in finding out how best to negotiate a verbal offer for a 100%-remote Product Manager role in NYC, with a IT infrastructure/digital services firm (MNC but non-American):

Base salary: 120k

Sign-on bonus:10k

Bonus: 15%

No stock options

How competitive is this, and what should I negotiate for please? The written offer comes after verbal agreement.

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

Any thoughts on when it's OK to ask for a transfer within your agency? I'm a PD for parents in child welfare cases. I started in September 2021 after clerking for a year while studying and passing the bar. When I took this job it was not clear that it was all remote and I'm pretty miserable working in insolation. The regular criminal division is in person, at least to the extent that their hearings are in person. People ask for transfers all the time just not usually this early.

I will be joining IBM next week in Bangalore ( physical onboarding ) and my hometown is in West bengal , My father is having health problems , mother won't be able to handle everything and no such person we can rely on . Also I am getting married in January . Hence If i stay in Bangalore there will be no one to take responsibility for my marriage prep also . My Redfin agent recently quit with one day notice to start his own firm. He was the one behind my deal and did a lot of work and help with negotiation. However Redfin called me and said they put their top regional lead on transaction which is set to close in 10 days. I’m conflicted with what to do. As a buyer I know I can switch firms with seller’s consent and it won’t impact the deal, or will it? The agent said if I went with him he’s throw me an additional incentive to close with him.
