But I have a client with an AF 401k. I am wondering if I can be the advisor of record on their personal AF 401k account without having to be the AofR of the entire plan? My home office says no

Right. It’s not your home office’s decision. The plan is run by the employer...not the employee.

You’re either the Advisor on the plan, which includes the client, or not. If you know how to work with Plan Sponsors on the 401k plan as the Advisor, take it over and get the Broker of Record change form. If not, assist the client from afar.

Nope, only in some cases when a self directed account is offered as an option for participants. AF doesn’t offer it.

Hi Fishes!

This question is mainly for the people in that 20s and 30s. Just want to know if there is a trend and if our spending habits are taking a turn for the worse.

Most of us saw increase in our pay checks earlier this year, mainly due to resignation wave. Given how easy it is to spend money these days, have you guys noticed any changes in your spending habits? Have you started overspending or you are still mindful about day to day purchases?

Wanted to share a bit of encouragement for all those feeling undervalued and underpaid.
2 yr snapshot:
2020: AE making less than $50k a year no comm.
June 2021: Accepted Sales Manager position at another company with salary of $75k plus comm.
Sept 2022: Just accepted Sales Director position at another company with salary of $150k plus comm.
I'm not suggesting job hopping is the answer, but in my experience strategic leaps have consistently awarded me more pay and higher titles. Thoughts?

I feel like I don’t know how to make friends anymore at work. Joined as an experience hire but worked at this company years ago before coming back to a different group. I feel like I’m constantly trying to swim upstream to fit in at work. There is a strong in-crowd unit and clique in our group. Maybe I’m not fun or valuable enough? Feels like everyone gets along. I realize feeling like I have friends at work is important to me
