Can anyone speak to experience leaving B4 public sector to go into tech sales for a start up selling to public sector?

I’m not senior enough to carry a quota but don’t want to wait till I am senior enough to start apply for jobs that require a quota.

I’ve lead sales pursuits, proposals, and shaped work with people who do carry quotas. Trying to figure out if I can make it in fed tech sales. Advice?

Current Salary: 13.5lpa
Years of exp: 4+2 (2 yrs post MBA)
Current Role: Assistant Project Manager, IT industry

What salary should I expect/ask for if I decide to switch? I think I am being underpaid right now. Please suggest.

If you are fresher, go for a WF Office setup. You will learn things beyond your work. In the initial phase of of your career, one needs to focus more on learning than on comfort. The interactions at office, meeting with collegues, conversations at the cafeteria, sense of responsibilty, the need to walk up on time to reach office etc will shape you for better.

Once you have a work experience of few year then any setup is fine. Go for WFH.

Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.

2 year 10 months experience as an financial analyst in the industry. Deloitte has an offer of 86k coming in as a consulting analyst. Did not asked about signing bonus yet. Also received an industry offer of 91500.
According to recruiter, I’ll be a high level analyst and most likely be a C next year. Might not be able to match industry offer cus lack of experience to be a C yet.
