I would say internally growth options are the same. We are winning really cool projects in both EI and RTS. Externally obviously we are known as a restructuring firm that said over 50% of our work is now in EI.
My base is roughly the same as my MBB peers and my bonus skews higher.
Which practice? Overall I've enjoyed the culture. Everyone is really smart and driven. People are cut throat and they don't try to rank themselves over their peers. There's less care about what your title is so everyone pitches in on projects.
Also, pay and bonuses are amazing so none of that whining about being underpaid. The company is working to improve work-life balance and diversity. There are a lot of new Employee Resource Groups to help support groups like military, pride, ethnic, or families. It helps a lot to drive new policy policies becuase the group has an actual voice with leadership.
Honestly, I'm not sure how the compare to MBB. I can from non-consulting Big4 where they pay you as cheap as they can. I just know that not common for people to leave AlixPartners.
Yes good point! No transparency in comp bands nor in how your bonus is calculated. I don't know a single person that's unhappy with their total comp package though - that's a big statement!
About 10+ it/ops due diligence, standalone, synergies cost models and about a couple of large scale divestitures (managing workstreams). I am looking at the PI group as well. How does it compare to rts internally at alix (growth trajectory, major types of projects?)
P1, looking at your work experience, you're a better fit for PI than for restructuring. They do financial models - cashflow, strategic business plans, rdebt re-capitalisation, setting up REITs etc.
How do pay and bonuses compare to mbb? Senior associate / vp role
They’re not on management consulted, but from what I remember during recruiting they positioned comp as between consulting and banking
I agree with AP2 assessment, but worth mentioning there is no transparency in comp like at MBB
Do you need a restructuring exp to interview for a trs consultant position? I have 3 years of m&a consulting exp post undergrad
You need to know how to model. What did you do in m&a consulting? Depending on your experience you might be a better fit for our performance improvement practice
