Being lesbian is absolutely nothing to be ashamed about or regret. As for finding a reason to keep going, make sure your job isn't hurting your mental health and take a vacation if you need one. Life will definitely test your mental grit, but those challenges will mold your perspectives later on in ways that will give you a competitive edge to accomplish whatever it is that you set your mind to. In the short term, take a breather and re-orient yourself, you'll be ok OP. Please know that this too shall pass
And yet you’ve made it to your position. Be proud of your accomplishments against all odds!
Everyone's fighting their own demons. You can't always choose the cards you're dealt but you can choose how to play them. #cliche
You beat those odds to be a consultant. You are the pride and envy of so many others!!! Be proud and take a bow!!
It feels that everything is out to get you because the things you described are interconnected; your incompetent father wasn't able to contribute enough monetarily, that's why you're in debt. Poor diet/choices probably contributed to your sibling's slow educational attainment. Etc
You sound like a whiner that blames every bad thing that happens to you on others - lots of people have overcome MUCH bigger obstacles - are you gonna cower or are you gonna whip life’s ass? It’s a CHOICE.
I understand how you feel OP. I’ve been suicidal multiple times and seeing a therapist really helped. I would recommend seeing a therapist.
You made it this far. Everything you describe as a problem has solutions. Focus on the solutions, and line them up one at a time. It will take some time - maybe a fee years in case of the debt. Leverage your relationships into a support structure - exactly for times like these.
Keep your chin up OP. I second Associate 1's comments, nothing to be ashamed about. Just keep driving to make tomorrow better than today. And as for you Acc 1, you're making us look bad bro. Not everyone responds to that bullshit. Depression isn't something you just choose to get over.
Really make me wonder why I keep living.
Wishing you good luck and hope things look up for you
Please don't feel ashamed to get some help. Depression is real and affects so many people. You're not alone
Hang in there OP. It will get easier
Keep your head up OP... remember, this too shall pass and brighter days will be ahead
Fortunately you are in a career that can be very lucrative. With some planning at least the financial challenges can be overcome. Keep calm carry on. The best is yet to come.
ACC 1 is right that every day we choose to be happy, or not. You'd be surprised by the burdens many of us either carry or have overcome, but do not publicize. Most people present an idealized facade to the world, more so with Facebook. You do not have the world's most f'ed up situation, and it's your choice tomorrow morning about how you want to approach the day- are you going to feel sorry for yourself, or are you going to rip the world a new a-hole? It's entirely up to you.
Tell everyone you’re bi-sexual and you’ll be wanted by everyone
